About the PI

Zaile Li

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering and Management at the National University of Singapore (NUS), and I am also affiliated with the Institute for Operations Research and Analytics. Before joining NUS, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Healthcare Management Initiative at INSEAD.

Methodologically, I work on sequential learning, stochastic simulation and optimization, and data-driven decision-making. For applications, I focus on digital twins and healthcare management. I am also exploring how these methods can improve modern AI systems, including large language models, and how AI tools can, in turn, advance these methods.
